A community-access makerspace coming to Garner, NC -- and a hands-on STEM camp starting January 4, 2027. Registration opens December 7.

STEM Camp
We're kicking things off with a small-scale STEM camp, run out of our founder's home while we build toward our full makerspace launch. Each week, campers (ages 8-14) dive into a themed, hands-on project -- racing 3D-printed cars, building a team robot, powering an air-fueled vehicle, or launching rockets -- through modeling and 3D printing, then put their work to the test in a themed afternoon challenge.
Camp starts January 4, 2027 and runs every week after that. Registration opens December 7, 2026 for the first four weeks (January 4-29); after that, we open one new camp week each Monday, four weeks ahead.

The Full Makerspace
Our home base is in the works -- a full community-access makerspace opening in the months ahead. When we open our doors, one membership unlocks every discipline: 3D printing, electronics, CAD & modeling, woodworking, sewing, and clay & sculpting (Sculpey, oven-bake, and air-dry -- kiln ceramics is a future goal) -- alongside classes, workshops, and workframe rentals for committed makers.

Garner and South Wake County don't have a general-access makerspace today -- the nearest options are adults-only or a long drive away. Meanwhile, our community keeps growing, and so does the appetite for a place to make things with your hands. Community Factory exists to close that gap, right here at home.
